PRINX Chengshan: Green Tyres from Thailand – PRINX, Austone & Fortune Leading The Way

Darmstadt, Germany, 21 August 2025

With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, PRINX Chengshan delivers tyres that combine premium performance with environmental responsibility. All tyres of the company’s flagship brand PRINX as well as its economy ranges Austone and Fortune, manufactured at the advanced facility in Chon Buri, Thailand, are already fully compliant with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) – well ahead of the official EU deadline of 1 January 2026. The EUDR, known as the “Regulation on deforestation-free products,” directly impacts natural rubber, a key material in tyre production. PRINX Chengshan Europe embraces this as an opportunity to meet rising sustainability requirements while maintaining the brands’ renowned quality, safety, and durability.

PRINX, Austone and Fortune are proudly produced in Thailand, combining flagship innovation with long-standing legacy. By using sustainably sourced natural rubber and ensuring full supply chain transparency, the company has secured EUDR compliance years in advance, setting a benchmark in the industry.

This achievement builds on measurable environmental progress. The PRINX ESG Report 2022 documented a 16% reduction in carbon emissions and a 31% cut in water consumption compared with 2020—already surpassing the company’s 2030 targets. Looking ahead, PRINX is aiming for a threefold increase in solar energy generation by 2025, a 45 to 50 percent share of low-rolling-resistance tyres, and further reductions in water use and waste intensity.

The Thailand facility is currently undergoing a renewable energy transformation. Photovoltaic systems and energy-saving technologies are being installed to cut carbon emissions and reduce utility costs, directly supporting the company’s 2025 renewable energy goals. This development fits within a broader regional momentum, as Southeast Asia expands its clean energy infrastructure, including the construction of the world’s largest rooftop solar array spanning 100,000 m² with 40,000 panels generating 22 MW.

Quality and safety remain central to PRINX Chengshan’s operations. The Chon Buri facility holds international certifications including ISO 14001 for environmental management, OHSAS 18001 / GB/T28001 for occupational health and safety, IATF 16949 for automotive quality management, and ISO 9001:2015 for quality systems. In addition, the company is pursuing EcoVadis certification to further demonstrate its commitment to environmental transparency and excellence.

The same Thailand facility not only produces PRINX, Austone and Fortune tyres but also supplies natural rubber to leading international tyre brands, proving its reputation for sourcing only the highest-quality materials. With OEM-level capabilities and continuous investments in state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, PRINX Chengshan ensures that every tyre delivers premium performance without compromise.

With exports to Europe already underway, the PRINX, Austone and Fortune product portfolios are fully future-proof and compliant. Customers benefit from tyres that combine safety, reliability, and environmental stewardship, positioning the brands as leaders in sustainable mobility.

Thomas Wohlgemuth, Managing Director at PRINX Europe, sums it up:

“With PRINX, Austone or Fortune, you’re getting a tyre that looks after you, the road, and the planet—now and in the years ahead.”

Background

PRINX Chengshan has consistently prepared well in advance of new sustainability requirements.
